SCORECARD LIST: Summer 2007
Last updated 26 June 2008.
In addition to Scorecards which are listed on the following pages,
I now have a list of Match Programmes which is included on the "Books
and Other Items" page - just click on the appropriate bat on the
left.
Obviously, some scorecards are also programmes (viz. Sunday/totesport
League programmes in U.K.) but many matches have a souvenir programme
in addition to the scorecard.
The Books page now has a list of Signed and Inscribed items, and also a list of Sussex Cricket items, plus a list of Signed Benefit Brochures.
I cater for the cricket ephemera enthusiast. I have a wide selection of cricket score cards for sale, categorised as follows:
- autographed scorecards;
- matches involving Sussex - these are assumed in the list to be at home, unless a venue is given;
- international matches - mainly Test Matches and Limited Over matches;
- everything else.
These categories relate to the "bats" in the top left-hand corner of this page.
Where a County match is not described it is assumed to be County
Championship.
SL = Sunday League in its various manifestations (including Norwich
Union League & totesport League which is every day except
Sunday!)
BHC = Benson & Hedges Cup
GC/NWT/CG = Gillette Cup/NatWest Trophy/C & G Trophy.
All scorecards start life blank; therefore, no
description means it is as printed when sold; some bear entries of
varying style and neatness. These are abbreviated to "print",
"ink" or "pencil" depending on the method(s) used; ink in this
context refers to fountain pen, biro, felt pen, etc. This is
usually achieved with varying degrees of neatness; this is not
annotated but the price reflects the overall visual effect!
Where a card has been purchased with match details printed after the
match, it is described as printed complete.
Condition is not described unless it is serious or disturbing; most scorecards get folded at least once, with many modern ones needing two folds to get them in a pocket. In some cases the scorecards have earlier been stored in ring binders and have had two holes punched on their left-hand edge; these are indicated by "holes" in the entry. Some scorecards have been printed on paper rather than card; this distinction is not annotated.
Some score cards have been stuck in an album and later dismounted, still bearing traces of this on the back; these are indicated as "dismounted". Other creases etc. are part of life's rich pattern for something intended to be ephemeral. As usual with my lists, if you are unhappy with the condition of any item, please return it for a full refund.
Prices include second class postage in UK; overseas postage
will be charged at cost. Overseas remittances in sterling
please. Minimum order value £5.
PLEASE NOTE:
CHEQUES SHOULD BE MADE PAYABLE TO: NEIL BECK
